1./ GENERAL INTRODUCTION

During your visit to the island nation of Indonesia, don’t miss the opportunity to capture stunning images and immerse yourself in the culture of East Java – home to the majestic Bromo volcano. This place is best visited between April and October.
The “PHOTOGRAPHY & CULTURAL JOURNEY THROUGH EAST JAVA” phototour is specially designed for photography and nature lovers to capture priceless moments and deeply experience the local culture of this “archipelago nation” – Indonesia in SEPTEMBER.


2./ HIGHLIGHTS

Panorama of Tumpak Sewu Waterfall – a perfect spot for photographers to “freeze” powerful cascades flowing from majestic cliffs, creating soft water trails and dramatic natural sounds.
Tanjung Papuma – where photography enthusiasts can creatively compose breathtaking, painting-like coastal images of Indonesia.

3./ ITINERARY

NOTE:

DAY 1 – AUG 30: ARRIVAL IN SURABAYA
Arrival at Juanda – Surabaya Airport. Local guide and driver will welcome the group, transfer for dinner and check-in at hotel in Surabaya.


DAY 2 – AUG 31: MADAKAPIPURA – BROMO
After breakfast, check out and drive 2 hours to the Madakapipura rainforest.

Lunch and hotel check-in.

Afternoon – 4:00 PM:
Transfer to Pasir Berbisik (approx. 40 mins) – a vast sandy plain near Bromo crater, also the title of a famous local movie directed by Nan Achnas in 2001.

Dinner and overnight in Bromo.


DAY 3 – SEP 1: BROMO
2:00 AM: Transfer to Kingkong Hill to capture sunrise over three volcanoes and melting clouds – a signature sight from April to October.

7:45 AM: Descend Kingkong Hill and continue to Mount Bromo for drone photography.

9:00 AM: Return to hotel for breakfast and rest.
12:30 PM: Lunch

4:00 PM: Transfer to Penanjakan for sunset and night photography.

6:00 PM: Dinner at Penanjakan (boxed meal). Then, set up for Milky Way shooting.

DAY 4 – SEP 2: BROMO – KAWAH IJEN

02:00: The group stays at the Bukit Cinta viewpoint to welcome the sunrise, savoring cups of black coffee while enjoying the breathtaking morning view.

Afterward, return to the hotel for breakfast and check-out. The journey continues to Kawah Ijen (approximately 7 hours), where the group will photograph the sunset.

Overnight in Kawah Ijen.


DAY 5 – SEP 3: KAWAH IJEN – JEMBER
The group rises early to capture the sunrise at Kawah Ijen from the viewpoint.

After the shoot, breakfast will be served, followed by hotel check-out.The group then travels to photograph Belawan Waterfall.

Afterward, the journey continues to Tanjung Papuma (approximately 4 hours), with lunch en route. Upon arrival in Papuma, the group checks in and takes a short rest.

In the afternoon, the group heads out to shoot the sunset at Tanjung Papuma Beach. Here, photography enthusiasts can unleash their creativity to capture stunning, painting-like images of Indonesia’s coastal beauty. As the sea breeze flows, unique sounds resonate from the crevices in the rocks—like an incantation—adding to the mystical charm of this iconic destination.

Overnight in Papuma.

DAY 6 – SEP 4: TANJUNG PAPUMA – TUMPAK SEWU
The group wakes up early to capture the sunrise over Papuma Beach.
After the photo session, the group returns to the hotel for breakfast, checks out, and departs for Tumpak Sewu (approximately 3 hours of travel).
Lunch will be served upon arrival.

In the afternoon, the group will photograph from the Semeru Volcano viewpoint.

The group returns for dinner and checks in at the hotel for rest.

DAY 7 – SEP 5: TUMPAK SEWU – RETURN
6:00 AM: Head to the panorama area of Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. In Javanese, “Tumpak Sewu” means “a thousand waterfalls.” A magnificent location for photographers to capture roaring cascades forming dreamy water trails and mighty natural soundscapes.
C14: Sunrise at Tumpak Sewu (Drone + Camera)

8:00 AM: Return for breakfast.
Check-out and transfer to the airport for your return flight.
