3. DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1 – Aug 17: ARRIVAL

• Arrival at Ulaanbaatar (ULN), group meeting at the airport
• Transfer to a centrally located hotel and check-in
• Dinner at a local restaurant

Day 2 – Aug 18: ALTAI TAVAN BOGD

• Early morning transfer to Chinggis Khaan Airport
• Flight to Olgii at 07:25
• Upon arrival, drive to a Kazakh nomad family to photograph locals and traditional eagle hunters
  • C1: Portraits of Mongolian eagle hunters
• After lunch, continue to Altai Tavan Bogd National Park
• Stay overnight in Kazakh gers (traditional yurts) with shower and electricity; dinner prepared by a private chef
• Distance: ~200 km

Day 3 – Aug 19: KHOTON LAKE

• After breakfast, drive 1 hour into Altai Tavan Bogd mountains
• 2–3 hour trek through majestic terrain
  • C2: Free creative shooting in the Altai Mountains
• Afternoon: drive to Khoton Lake to capture the sunset by the lone tree
  • C3: Sunset at the lone tree on Khoton Lake
• Overnight in gers with shower and electricity
• Distance: ~190 km

Day 4 – Aug 20: BAGA TURGEN WATERFALL

• Early departure to Baga Turgen Waterfall
• Short drive, then a ~6 km hike (horse rental optional at own expense)
  • C4: Dramatic landscape of Baga Turgen Waterfall
• Afternoon: photograph petroglyphs, wild sheep/goats
  • C5: Rock carvings with Siberian sheep/goats
• After lunch, return to Khoton Valley for eagle hunter shots with majestic mountain backdrops

• Overnight in gers without shower or electricity

Day 5 – Aug 21: OLGII TOWN

• Morning transfer to Olgii
• En route visit a Kazakh eagle hunter’s family for lifestyle photography
  • C7: Daily life portraits with hunter’s family
• Lunch with the host family
• Hotel check-in in Olgii; dinner at a local Kazakh restaurant
• Hotel includes shower and Wi‑Fi
• Distance: ~210 km

Day 6 – Aug 22: TOLBO LAKE & ALTANTSUGTS VILLAGE

• Early breakfast, head to Tolbo Lake for eagle hunter portrait session
  • C8: Portraits by Tolbo Lake
• Return to Olgii then proceed to Altantsugts village for more eagle hunter photos against the Altai foothills
  • C9: Eagle hunter portraits with Altai mountains
• Overnight in Olgii hotel with shower and Wi‑Fi
• Distance: ~180 km

Day 7 – Aug 23: ULAN BATOR

• Early breakfast, fly back to UB at 09:25 (2‑hour flight)
• Lunch at airport, then free afternoon to shop and explore Sükhbaatar Square or the Genghis Khan Statue
• Overnight in UB hotel with shower and Wi‑Fi

Day 8 – Aug 24: DEPARTURE

• Morning free time, prepare for departure flight
